Dr. Leia Hays attended the University of New Mexico, where she completed two bachelor’s degrees. The first in Spanish and Portuguese and the second in pre-med with an emphasis on chemistry and biology. She also taught yoga for 15 years, studied Ayurvedic medicine in India for a year and completed a clinical herbalism program in Berkeley, California before attending medical school at the Southwest University of Naprapathic Medicine in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she completed a doctorate in naprapathic medicine. Leia is currently studying a three year master’s program in functional neurology and nutrition.
